O KNJIGI

Tudi pri svobodi izražanja je prepogosto tako kot pri drugih pravnih konceptih: navadno so najglasnejši tisti, ki se najbolj motijo, vendar nikdar niso pripravljeni uvideti, kaj šele priznati, da se motijo. Pa naj gre za (ne)razumevanje pomena »vsebine« za pravno zaščito svobode izražanja, konceptov sovražnega in napadalnega govora, razmerja med pravico do obveščenosti in pravico do zasebnosti, razlike med sovražnim, napadalnim in žaljivim govorom, koncepta informacij javnega značaja, polja svobodnega ravnanja novinarjev, pravne razsežnosti preiskovalnega novinarstva, razlage javnega interesa pri delovanju javnega radia in televizije, pravne zaščite umetniškega izražanja, normativnega pomena strogosti predpisanih in izrečenih kazni zoper javne komunikatorje itd.

Kot narobe svet. Predvsem pa je tak svet – poln nepopravljenih napak in nekaznovanih nepravilnosti, poln napačnega učenja zaradi premoči argumenta moči nad močjo argumenta, poln ljubiteljev javnega predstavljanja mnenj, ki niso podprta z vednostjo in znanjem, končno pa tudi odločilno zaznamovan z odsotnostjo razlike med dobrim in slabim, pravilnim in napačnim – za veliko večino ljudi očitno in žal postal samoumevni svet.

To seveda ni dobro. In dopuščanju tega se je treba še naprej postavljati po robu. Upirati. Se proti temu žametno bojevati. Kot vselej najprej in predvsem z govorjeno in pisano besedo. Z odgovornim, verodostojnim in dobrovernim uresničevanjem svobode izražanja in delovanjem v vlogi javnih psov čuvajev. Tudi ko gre za samo učenje o vsebini te človekove in ustavne pravice, tega filozofskega koncepta, tega elementa etike politike, te tehnike samouresničevanja, tega mehanizma mišljenja v javnem prostoru. Temu je primarno namenjena ta knjiga. Je odraz skupne zaveze k poučenemu razpravljanju, učečemu poslušanju in argumentiranemu odzivanju. In je naš knjižni odziv na čas, ki je bil nedavno označen za postfaktičen, čas-po-dejstvih, in postresničnosten, čas-po-koncu-resnice.
